Pathfinders Club Solihull
Cramble 29th May 2011 - LOCKS - STOCKS - AND - BARRELS
This year’s Cramble will be a nine mile walk with a shorter cut of point of five miles.
The five mile walk will bring us to the famous FOXTON LOCKS. Lunch will be taken at the locks and there will be time to explore. Obviously walkers only doing the five miles will have longer at the locks to perhaps take the thirty minute boat ride on offer or to visit the museum, café or pub.
Walkers doing the whole walk will leave Foxton heading to our final destination, East Langton, see if you can spot the STOCKS on the way!
At East Langton we will find The Bell Inn, a pretty hostelry run by Nick & Shirley; this is where we will take our meal.
The chef at The Bell Inn makes every effort to use local produce and we know that we will be served a wholesome three course meal. And we also know that down in the cellar lie those BARRELS of good cheer waiting with their golden contents to wash it all down.
The coach will be parked on the Foxton car park so will bring our five mile walkers to the feast.
Full information so that you may join this fantastic day out will shortly be circulated to all club members.
As always the Cramble is open to club members, family and friends on a first come first served basis.
