About The Club

The Club was formed in the mid seventies and prides itself on being a welcoming and friendly group.
Our aim is to provide walks, both short (around 5 miles) to longer (8 to 9 miles) on a two week cycle from mid January to early December. This enables all members to participate irrespective of ability or age.
Perhaps you you would rather try us out first? No problem - if you are interested you may join us on two walks to see if you are happy with the club and that walking is your scene. If you are, for a small annual joining fee , you will receive generally six mail-shots a year giving details of each walk, meeting time and description of the route.
Walking is an all year round venture and we are all subject to the weather and its surprises - so please - good suitable footwear and protective clothing is a must, then come rain or shine you can enjoy the day.
